Arthuro Albano Jr - Necrological

Yesterday we have attended the necrological service for Mr. Arthuro Albano Jr. He had peacefully died early morning on June 10, 2019. Before he died he was able to talk with us, although the condition of his body are weak but still manage to talk with us in a few words. He still remember us and know us by name. His mind is still young although he suffer from leukemia at the age of 57.

One thing I'd like to put into this record is when her wife speaks to us during the necrological service in St. Peter, Mandaue. She spoke about her happiness because they had found the missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 2015. The missionary where looking for a direction where they can pass unfortunately the we're directed to her. She talks with the missionary that there's no other way in that path either this way or that way. The missionaries take the opportunity to talk with her and luckily her mother told her to let them come in to the house because that is still from God. They had a good discussion with the missionaries.

Edna and his husband are seekers of truth. Although they were raised as a Christian with a belief of Catholic she still believe in God. Sometime she fells so empty after their church services. She felt that she need more understanding. She also told us that she want to make sure to understand life after death since we are getting older and the assurance that I have believe in God and followed his will.

Anyway during the time the missionaries are there, there are a lot of questions asked. She felt good about it because she learn many things. She ask his husband to participate in the discussion but refuses but she insist to let him read the book the missionaries gave her. After a while she saw that his husband had read the book. During that time on his husband (Arthuro Albano Jr) had attended the discussion with the missionaries.

They were invited to attend a Sunday service. She told his husband that they would try anyway nothing can be taken away with them since it is all from God. The first Sunday they had attended is very different, she told us that she felt different feelings about God and she learn more. Then they continue to attend Sunday service and discussions with the missionaries. They had completed the discussion and accepted the invitation to be baptized to make covenant with God. They had continue their journey learning about the importance of becoming a saints of God in this latter day.

She told us that even my husband died I know we will see each other again because of the covenant that we have made in the Temple of God.

Time Management Plan

As I was searching online. I came across a very instructive time management plan. I realized that some of the suggestion posted in this article are important. We need to organized our lives so we can manage our responsibilities.

We have the same time with all the people all around the world but one thing to understand that the difference between those who excel and those who merely exist is not the number of hours they have. It is how they they spend those hours.

I would like to requote the lesson I've learn from them.

These are the 10 steps for Time Management Plan

1. Planning and Setting Goals - I need to start the day with spiritual upliftment to get a good mood and be productive for the day. I need to make sure that my goal will be realistic and achievable for the day. My daily routine should not affect my goals but I need to make it better.

2. Daily Action Plan - I need to dedicate my time each day of the week to achieve my long term goals. In this case I will not deviate putting off the important goals I need to do in my life. I believe this will help me create a better schedule each day.

3. Delegate Responsibilities - One of the important aspect in my life to do. Sharing some of my responsibilities will help me manage my time better. I need to learn where I can delegate my task to make sure that my goal is being achieve for it timeframe.

4. Prioritizing Tasks - I need to be wise and to understand what level of importance to be done each day.  I need to list the most important task to be accomplished first on that time.  I will make sure that I have time for the most important tasks in my life.

5. Controlling Interruptions - If interruption occur I need to control them by managing my time and some of other interruption that can incur in your situation. I might turn-off my phone or limit my time watching channel in Youtube.

6. Create a Support System - I need to have a system that will tract my task each day. It should always be my forefront organizer to show up my task each day.

7. Improve Communication -  I need to improve my communication skills to let other people understand me better. If my communication is poor I might be misunderstood which will cause hours or days to be fix. I need to read books and other material needed to effectively communicate.

8. Build good Friends and Mentors - I need to make sure that I know my friends and mentors. They will help me learn things that I didn't know. They will help me in some other aspect in life where I don't need to wast a lot of time.

9. Team Work - Team work is a better way to accomplish more task in a minimal time. I need to create a team to share my task with them. I'll make sure that I will properly split the work with others where we can accomplish the goals needed to be done.

10. Technology Usage - I need to create a system or apps that will tract and organized my goals and task.

Tips How to Spend your Time

I've enrolled in Pathway Connect and I've learn how to balance time in this life.  These suggestion are shared by Elder M. Russel Ballard - one of the Apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

  • Think about your life and set your priorities. Find some quiet time regularly to think deeply about where you are going and what you will need to do to get there...Write down the tasks you would like to accomplish each day. Keep foremost in mind the sacred covenants you have made with the Lord as you write down your daily schedules...
  • Set short-term goals that you can reach. Set goals that are well balanced—not too many nor too few, and not too high nor too low. Write down your attainable goals and work on them according to their importance. Pray for divine guidance in your goal setting...
  • Study the scriptures. They offer one of the best sources we have to keep in touch with the Spirit of the Lord...
  • We must schedule time on our daily calendars for [sufficient rest, exercise, and relaxation] if we are to enjoy a healthy and balanced life. Good physical appearance enhances our dignity and self-respect...
  • My last suggestion is to pray often as individuals and as families...

I believe all of these steps are align to my goals. I need to itemized my goals and set schedule to accomplish theme.

I like the quote that President Thomas S. Monson shared about success and accomplishing Goals "The best definition of success I have ever found goes something like this: Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal. Someone has said the trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend your life running up and down the field and never crossing the goal line.
I want to state here and now that wishing will not replace thorough preparation to meet the trials of life. Preparation is hard work but absolutely essential for our progress. The Lord urged: “Seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith” (D&C 88:118)."

Presiden Monson shared also one good poet from Emilie Poulsson

    Books are keys to wisdom’s treasure;
    Books are gates to lands of pleasure;
    Books are paths that upward lead;
Books are friends. Come, let us read.

Boracay Virgin Resort is in Puka Beach

Boracay is the famous known white sand beach front in the Philippines. We got there in the afternoon and found a lot of people in the shore.

I've documented my visit and took a video but some other friends say that this time is far better than the other days.

Anyway we had visited Puka Beach localted in the north part of Boracay Island. We've taken pictures and posted our highlight photos. Another documentation taken for our trip in Boracay.

Kalibo Tour Adventure to Boracay

I've heard about Boracay that it is one of the famous beach in the Philippines. It is located in the north province of Aklan and this was discovered by tourist since 1970. Until today it is the highlight for many tourist in the country as well as internationally.

This time my wife booked a plane ticket going to Kalibo because it is one way you can get a cheaper flight going to Boracay. The airport in Kalibo is 1 hour or 1 1/2 hr travel going to Caticlan through V-Hire or Bus. The cost for a V-hire or Bus is around Php100.00 to Php200.00.

After arriving in Kalibo from our flight we leave our baggage in our Hotel and visit some tourist destination. We took tricycle and visited one of the oldest museum in the main proper of Kalibo.

Learning Kalibo History

I've learn some few history where Kalibo came from. It is from the Spanish who baptized 1000 people to Christianity. That is where the Libo which mean a thousand word came from. The Ka mean because the people in this island was called Aklanon they just make a work "Kalibo" which was use by many and this is where the place called "Kalibo".

We took a night in Kalibo and spend our night at Cess Hotel. It was a nice hotel and free breakfast.

Before we leave Kalibo one of my councilor during our service in our Apas Ward is from Kalibo. I've tried to chat him and he told us to visit their parents. We took the advice and visited the mother of Rodel Dolorfino. We took a tricycle and find the place. At first the mother of Rodel didn't recognized us but when we inform her that I'm with Rodel in Cebu, then she immediately remember us.

She invited us for lunch and we had much conversation. She told a lot of her life and I'm happy to know more about her. I've learned that she is optimist to raise his family through cooking. In that skill that God has blessed her she was able to earn money to buy a lot and build a house for her family since his husband only get few income for his work. She was able also to put her daughter and son to a good school until they had finish their courses.

After our conversation we need to leave them and go to the terminal of the V-hire. We arrive in Caticlan around 2pm and took some Ferry to get to Boracay Island.  There are two ways to go to Boracay which we took the Air-conditioned ferry that cost us around Php100.00 for the terminal, Php75.00 for the Air-conditioned ferry and Php100 for the environmental fee.

After arriving in Boracay there are available Etricycle that you can ride that cost you around Php10.00 or Php20.00 pesos depending on the distance where you will go.

Guideline for Online Writing or Communication

I've like to quote what I've learn from BYU Idaho here in my blog.
There are many people who didn't even notice that proper communication will lead to better understanding and learning.
These are the guidelines that are share in our course
Many students have formed online writing habits based on the mistaken belief that standard spelling, punctuation, and grammar rules do not apply when writing online posts. These habits may be acceptable when writing emails to friends or connecting on social media websites, but when writing online in all of your college coursework (including discussion boards), good online writing habits should be treated more seriously.
Use the following guidelines when you communicate online:
  • Always proofread what you write. Reread your writing to check for little mistakes like spelling and punctuation errors before sending or submitting your work.
  • Make a meaningful subject line. Whether posting on a discussion board or writing an email, give your message a subject title that indicates the contents of the message.
  • When sending an email or a message, use the person's name at the beginning of the communication. Example: "Dear Bob,"
  • Be specific about who you are, why you are writing, and what you want.
  • AVOID USING CAPS. IT GIVES THE IMPRESSION THAT YOU ARE YELLING AT YOUR READER, AND IT CAN BE MORE DIFFICULT TO READ.
  • the other extreme is the more common habit of not using any capitalization at all. remember, when writing in english, to capitalize the word "i" when referring to one's self and to capitalize the first letter of each sentence.
    • Corrected form of the statement above: The other extreme is the more common habit of not using any capitalization at all. Remember, when writing in English, to capitalize the word "I" when referring to one's self and to capitalize the first letter of each sentence.
  • Sometimes students who struggle with punctuation will choose to stop using it altogether even if punctuation isnt your strength at least make your best guess about where to put commas periods apostrophes (') etc not having any at all is hard on your reader
    • Corrected form of the statement above: Sometimes, students who struggle with punctuation will choose to stop using it altogether. Even if punctuation isn't your strength, at least make your best guess about where to put commas, periods, apostrophes ('), etc. Not having any at all is hard on your reader.
  • Tone: Sometimes joking does not come across very well in email or posts. Emoticons (smiley faces, frowns, winks) are fine for communicating between friends or classmates, but should be avoided for formal or first-time communications.
  • Don't overuse exclamation points!!! It gives a much greater sense of urgency to your message than it likely deserves!!
  • Avoid over-stating your point by using an overly aggressive or offensive tone. Remember, if you wouldn't state your message so strongly to someone face to face, then don't do it online. It's possible to be passionate without being rude.
  • Do not write in an abbreviated "text messaging" style in posts or emails. IMO, its hard 2 read and not really easier 4 u 2 write.
    • Translation of the statement above: In my opinion, it's hard to read and not really easier for you to write.

Cebu Photography Skill Sets

I've have a DSLR camera that I frequently use and was able to familiarize with some settings needed for better shots on my objects. As you increase your understanding about DSLR camera's you would be able to have a better result on your shots. I'm thankful for free photography training provided by many other expert in Youtube.

During my course in using a DSLR cameras, I've observed that shots varies from what device you use. One example that I've use is the DSLR 650D which is an old version of DSLR that I bought to a friend. Actually this is my first DSLR camera and indeed I've come to love and use it frequently. The shots that I've gotten in this camera where posted in this site Cebu City Tour. Other shots is shown below:

Cebu Aloguinsan White Sand

Cebu Museo Sugbo

There are many shot's I've taken and I'm happy for the training I've got during my basic Cebu Photography Training

Camera Setting for my Shots

Normally during the day I usually use a manual setting to customize my shot output.  The setting I use is 100ISO with 100shutter speed combined with Aperture at 13 or 14. This will depend on the light you will engage with.
