Cebu Christmas Season Celebration for my Family

I often wonder about what we will do during this month of December because as I was contemplating what I had done during the past busy months, my time was mostly spent on my work and I realized that I've done lots of extra work from my job and business. I know working hard would lead us to better opportunities but I need to balance everything so that I can spend more time with my family.

Finally the month of December came and it was time for me to contemplate what should I do to my family so that we could feel a better and meaningful month. My wife and I planned together because it is Christmas and it is our sixth year anniversary. Initially, we planned to go to Bohol. I was excited about this plan to celebrate our wedding anniversary and Christmas. We've tried to make this plan possible by working hard so that we can have sufficient funds during our forthcoming anniversary.  I will be putting some updates about our success with our plan.

Another thing I would like to emphasize on this blog post is that I'm so much happy because I've watched the beautiful message from our first presidency which they called the "First Presidency Christmas Devotional: Preparing Our Hearts for Christmas". My heart rejoiced because I had felt something different because I've realized the true meaning of Christmas.

In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we are truly blessed because we have living prophets to guide us and teach us what we should do these latter days. That is why I called this to be the "Cebu Christmas Season Celebration for my Family" so that I could easily remember.

Cebu Fine Dining for the Youth

This week I have a memorable and coolest experience I've ever done. This was held in our unique Chapel, I called it unique because this chapel was a part of the Cebu temple ground.

This is the story behind this activity... The young women president who is my wife and the young men president (Bro. Dean) together with their counselors planned to have a fine dining with the youth. It took few weeks to plan and prepare this activity. After it was planned, budget and schedules were set. It didn't take much money to do this because of the kind considerations of our brothers and sisters especially Divyne and Dean. I don't want to list them down here because I don't want to take more of your time reading. Probably you can just put a comment on this simple article if you want to add. Another thing that I would like to emphasize is that the youth leaders requested us, the Bishopric (Bishop Dan, Larry, Clifford and me),to be their waiters for the night. We were so exited because it was our first time to do this for the youth. You might see the picture below.

For us this was fun, we have served the youth the best we can.

This activity was cool and fun and I'm titling this activity to be the coolest "

Cebu Fine Dining for the Youth

" ever.

Cebu Anastasia - Enchanted - Hercules - Photo Shots

One of the great events we had during our Halloween Celebration this 2011 was our Ward Activity entitled "Happily Ever After". We wore costumes from the casts of the movies like Anastasia, Hercules, Beauty and the Beast, and Enchanted. Each auxiliary had showcased their individual talents through their presentations. Everyone enjoyed the fun, the food and especially the treats (candies and other goodies).  But before we proceeded to the main program, the primary had a great time doing the trunk and treat outside the chapel. The primary had enjoyed collecting candies and sweets, making them more hyperactive! (Parents, just make sure that you brushed the teeth of your little ones to avoid tooth decay...) We too enjoyed this activity because of the fun and happiness we had experienced.
Elder Bailey - Hisita Family

The two couple missionaries who were a part of our ward, Elder and Sister Bailey. They are the missionaries from the Cebu Mission. They started to come to our ward last Aug 2010.

Sis Yu - Sis Reniva - Sis Cuyasen
Sisters of our ward who did such amazing things. That's why the activity was successful.

This picture was taken to a different wedding celebration in the temple. They were married in civil law but afterward married in Cebu City Temple for time and for all eternity. Their family name is Salinguhay. One of true best friend.

But this time I will continue my story line in this post.

Anyway I would Hope that my daughter when she will be on the right age to marry. She will find a young man who would bring her to the temple.

Last of all I hope that she will never be alone and be lonely.. Greater happiness is only attained if you have partner that you can bring to eternities.

Philippines Cebu City Business World Motivation

Businesses in Cebu are now bumming and making lots of opportunity for people who are residing and migrating to this particular place. Many building are constructed, roads are improved, some parks are created, temples and businesses was established. There are foreign people also who are putting up their investment to create business and be partner with these Filipinos who have the skills to manage the operation of the business. This had happen because of the good education and training that this city provides.

In Cebu Philippines, business still grows. Some of the small company which has no plan fails. Many people also want to put up their business but they don't have the capital. But the good news here is that people are making ways to make adapt more skills and be educated. I know this simple process will enable them to adapt the trend of technology that are existing and will arise in the future. So that when they will be assigned to a certain task they can execute the program or operation easily.

One of the best thing I've seen is that people who have positive mind and willingness to do certain task can be future entrepreneur and they will become a superb people . I mean superb because they want to excel, meet their expectation and help other people by providing more jobs and opportunities.

For me I salute those entrepreneurs who had created this Cebu City beautiful.   May you continue to be persistent and be prosperous in your endeavors. God bless and may we be ONE helping each other for a greater cause.

Better way of teaching the LDS Youth

In this article I would like to show a video that helped me understand how to be a better teacher for the youth.

I've searched this video in Youtube and played it. But to my surprise I've found interesting principle which I could apply it in my life. Part of the video which I'm interested with is the last part in which how an old man was teaching a little boy.

You might preview the movie below:

At first I thought that this video is just referring a story of Captain Moroni in the Book of Mormon. But as I've watched the video I became more interested particularly on how this old man had taught this young boy. He used a perfect example which I would want to do if ever I can be in the same situation.

Teaching the youth is not an easy task today but as we seek inspiration from God with faith he will grant that request especially if it's according to his will. One more thing I would like to emphasize is the proper way on how to use technology. I know that most of the youth now are into these addictive games, pornography and social network which was provided by these technologies. If we won't teach them the correct usage of this resources they will someday be addicted and miss a lot of good opportunities in life.

I hope you have learned something in the movie which would inspire you in your teaching endeavor.

Best way to Tour Baguio City

This photo was taken by my brother in Baguio Philippine Military Academy Park and I just made some simple modifications in the background. My nephew and niece were excited about hanging on this helicopter but if this will be in a real situation this would be too dangerous.

Another thought that I’m thinking is that this would be fun to do when you tour around Baguio City but perhaps there are much better ways to do it. If you really like to use helicopter well I'm thinking about putting good support to keep you safe. But remember this type of fun would be costly but it would really be a great experience.

If you’re a traveler, making a tour in Baguio City would be fun but sometimes it would be challenging task because it takes hours to get there. A lot of travelers used their own car to tour Baguio City but to some they just hire someone just to tour them around. Many travelers also just ask a friend who knows the place and they could be a tour guide just to visit beautiful places around Baguio and Benguet.

Most of these tourists went to places where they can view mountains, farms for vegetables, flowers, and strawberries, especially to unique places where they can feel the cold breeze of the pine trees and wind.

Cebu Intosan Pool Resort Tour

Cebu, Danao Tour

Me and my family had lots of fun time when we visited Intosan Resort in Danao City. It was our first experience to be in this resort together with our young couple friends. We did enjoy what we had experienced despite the travel and the situation in the room we have had. We were more or less 20 people in one room so just imagine how crowded we were then...

Making plans to go with our young couple friends to Intosan resort was the coolest thing we had ever done. We've been there by "tampo-tampo" style so each of us could afford to go there. We made plans one month ahead so we could be more prepared. Each of the family was assigned to bring a certain menu so we can put it together during dinner and breakfast. We also just took a Multi-cab to take us there. Though kind of small to accommodate us all but it was still fun.

We were in a total of 20 including our children and luckily the multicab had taken all of us including our things. It took us almost a couple of hours to travel from Country Mall to the resort. We reached our destination safely and went directly to our room. The room was really small for all of us yet we made some sleeping arrangements so all of us could sleep lying down not standing up... :) We all fit in the room but there was another concern because the air condition was busted. It was really hot inside! Well I think maybe it would be okay if there were only two or three persons inside. But for twenty people, it was like a microwave oven!!!

Intosan Resort Pool

The moment that we arrived at the resort, we hurried up to settle our things. We brought our food to the cottages near the pool area and started swimming right away.
